The chief city within Stomend's kingdom, it is the largest city and the most industrial. There are paths both for early-build cars as well as horse wagons that allow people to travel about the city. It's rather expansive, boasting several streets and lines of apartments as well as richer-owned houses lining them. Metropolis is one big circle, with a cathedral-esque castle in the very center and roads stretching out from there. There is also a train station that can be used to navigate the city or even to go to other places within the kingdom of Stomend and beyond.

Yes, despite the industrialization of Stomend, some farms still remain, though rather than within the city itself they line along the outskirts. A train ride can bring one close to the farmlands, but it's recommended to go by horseback. Farms are beginning to industrialize themselves, with steam-powered tractors helping to farm their fields and even greenhouses being created in order to manufacture conditions for crops, as opposed to relying on Mother Nature to be merciful.

A smaller town outside of Metropolis, accessible by train. It hasn't quite reached the level of technology that has taken over Metropolis, and in fact those who are vehemently against industrialization tend to live here instead. It cuts into the farmlands and even has some of its own, though it is a fully fledged town and even has a mayor position open. This place doesn't get a lot of action, although since it's closer to the wilderness and further away from civilization, it's bordering close to wilderness-related adventures.

A bigger town than Dalesville but smaller than the main city, Marks is where people have generally moved to in the absence of room within the main city and it's also a great stop for merchants who want someplace to store their goods and to make exchanges; in other words, it's a merchant town by any definition. It has undergone the upgrades that Metropolis has, and as a result it's right before the farmsland around it and Dalesville.

Stomend's kingdom is located in a valley of fertile ground that has been taken down by industrialization. This valley is located in an expanse of field that goes on beyond the streets. Some of the wilderness creeps into the towns and even the edges of the city, but generally it's the expanse outside of where the people situated in Stomend have built. Untouched by human hands, there's many a rumor about one might find out here, though some bold explorers have taken it upon themselves to mark areas for expansion in the future.

Board Information & Statistics

A trip to Stomend is a trip to the Victorian era anew, with locomotives and cobblestone roads and classy buildings that reek of steam and with a sepia-esque aesthetic splashing along its paint. While Nexus boasts a city of bright neon lights reminiscent of Las Vegas, Stomend is rolling just into the beginnings of electricity and steam-driven equipment.
