“Sakura it’s up there!” Kero called, pointing his stubby plush arm up. It was perched on a rooftop, long ears twitching. Its thin body low to the ground as if ready to pounce if necessary. As Sakura approached, it jumped up – startled, hissed and then bolted over the rooftop. “Stop, stop, please,” Sakura begged to ‘The Dash’. The creature ignored her, jumping from rooftop to rooftop with ease. “Go Sakura, you got to find that card!” Kero floated at her side, his tiny wings flapping to keep the height. Nodding, Sakura moved forward. Pulling from her pocket, a thin card. Throwing it up in the air, she struck it with the wand, she clutched tightly in her hand. “Jump!”Tiny, white wings appeared on her ankles and without any more time to waste, she jumped down after the tiny fox-like creature who scurried two buildings ahead. As soon as she hit the rooftop, she jumped and thanks to the magic of the ‘Jump’, Sakura soared up into the air again. With the added speed from ‘The Jump’, she was able to catch up to the speedy little fox. It stopped on the edge of a windowless, square building. Nose and ears twitching, it looked from Sakura to Kero, who still floated at her side – slightly windswept but still well. It let out a low growl of terror. “Come on Dash. You remember me right? I’m Sakura,” she held her hand out to the tiny fox. Just for a moment, it seemed like it was going to comply without any further effort. It shook its head and then jumped into an alley below and shot away like a blue bullet into the distance. “HWEEEEEEH!” Sakura cried as they watched it go. “Fly!” Sakura said. Once more throwing out a card and hitting it with the star-headed staff. This time with a flurry of feathers, two angelic wings grew from Sakura’s back. With a single flap, she took flight, following the blue blur. “Sakura! It’s over there!” Kero said, again pointing as the tiny blue dot shot between a pair of gates and into the bristling market. Landing and causing the wings to disappear as to not cause a fuss. Sakura walked straight into the heart of the marketplace. As usual, a swarm of people filled every inch of the canopy-strewn market. Bright awnings of every color lay over each of the stalls. Beneath lay a veritable treasure trove of items, from the mundane, dirt-coated vegetables to the odd trinkets which glittered under thick glass cases. Sakura attempted to find her way through the thick assemblage of people but ended up getting buffeted in the opposite direction. In the distance, she could just about see it. The small, blue fox-like creature's size made it easy to run between the unknowing legs of the people, above him.

A sigh escaped the blond's lips. What a long day... He hadn't been this excited to get home in a long while now, but unfortunately, the quickest way to his apartment complex was straight through the heart of the marketplace. It wasn't that this place was bad, it was just... He was tired. He felt as though recently, he was always tired. No matter how much sleep he got the night before, Roxas continued to be exhausted. For someone without a heart, how was he managing to feel so bad all the time? The guilt of leaving Axel behind had been bad recently, and the thought of Sora remaining incomplete without him didn't make it any easier.
In the end, the thirteenth Nobody felt as though everything was his fault.
Merchants called after him as he walked through the bustling Nexus night. He had done a job tonight of protecting a business and had come across a rather interesting little... Boy? He seemed far too scary to be a normal child. There had been more than enough interruptions tonight, but as his dull blue eyes looked upward to see a girl flying through the sky and landing on the ground not too far away, he realized that they weren't yet finished.
Whatever - he'd been through enough tonight. Just walk away. Walk away and don't look back.. go home, get some rest. So why was he turning around and following after her? Why did he start to run toward her as the bustling of people kept her at bay from whatever it was she was chasing? Weaving through some of the larger bodies, the Nobody gently grabbed her wrist and guided her to the side, away from the businessmen and merchants willing to run her over in order to get some business.
"I can show you a better way around, but.. What are you chasing?" He asked with a voice filled with curiosity. It was a nice distraction from the guilt, from the remembrance of his selfishness. From the notion that he didn't deserve the forgiveness he longed for. Helping people was always something that gave him a sense of self.
A sense of belonging.

“Ex-Excuse me. I need to get past you,” Sakura said, trying to push through the unruly mob. Her cries were muffled, however. “Quick, we’re going to lose him!” Kero cried out, fluttering down to Sakura’s side as she was continually buffeted from side to side by the vast amount of people.
“Go – on, ahead. I’ll – catch – up.” The yellow lion plush toy seemed like he wanted to disagree with the plan but hesitantly nodded, fluttered upwards and then soared away into the distance. Hopefully, no-one would catch sight of Kero as he flew over the crowd, but it seemed like everyone was too busy with their purchases to notice anything at the moment.
Someone just ahead of Sakura had their head almost against the wooden stall. Eye to eye with an elegant golden antique pocket watch. “Excuse. Me.” Sakura said louder. As the large bodied man moved to get an even closer look at the polished gold surface, he inadvertently blocked the small path, she had created for herself. It seemed like she’d be forced to wait until someone pulled her to the side. His grip was unthreatening, gentle and loose.
Sakura was guided over to the other side of the Market. Only a handful of bare wooden stalls stood in his area, their awnings hung loosely and swung in the breeze. It was only now, she got a good look at whoever it was.
A boy with spiked blond hair. Shimmering blue eyes and a confused cut, smile. A cloak hung from him, adding to his mystery. After realizing, she had been staring for a minute without saying anything, Sakura stumbled and muttered a greeting. “It’s nice to meet you. My name is Sakura.” Sakura said, staring deeply into his eyes.
“I was looking for… my pet. My cat,” she invented wildly. It seemed like a good plan to hide the Clow Cards and Magic in general from other people. Although, her Staff lay loosely in her hand, the golden star shimmering as the sun rays hit it. “I think it… went that way,” she pointed in the direction that Kero had flown in. Both ‘The Dash’ and Kero had disappeared from sight.

Roxas would be lying if he said he didn't notice her green eyes watching him intently instead of speaking to him. He blinked a few times and parted his lips slightly to say something else, but the girl had beaten him to it. Sakura, huh? He'd never heard a name like that before, but with different worlds and the whole Kindra thing, it was evident that there was more out there than he ever could have imagined in the beginning.
Maybe one of the biggest factors as to why he had been feeling so defeated recently was that he had finally realized how naive he had been. Roxas had thought that, in the beginning, things were what they were, and he could understand them in time because they were finite. That was nothing more than a sad misconception from a sad entity that was told he would never be anything more than that.
The blond boy listened to her words about losing her cat - he wasn't that stupid. She was lying, but that was fine. He could understand needing to keep ones personal business to themselves, especially in a situation as dire as this. Kindra was a place filled with secrets, and sometimes, keeping ones own secrets allowed people to retain a sense of self that would otherwise be gone forever.
"Right," He began with a gentle smile, one that had been growing for a few seconds. There was something about her - the way she looked at him so innocently, the way she screamed for help without saying a single word. It reminded him far too much of... Her? What was her name again? His teeth ground together in annoyance - why could he never recall that name? "I'm Roxas. Let's go catch up with it, c'mon." He tilted his head to the side, motioning for her her to follow him.
He lead the two of them down a much narrower alley, one that went in the same direction they were facing just moments prior. He made sure that they ran at the same pace, as to not leave one another behind. Roxas had to say.. He had become interested as to what this girl was really after. It had been a while since he felt invested in something along these lines. In a way, it was relieving. A nice, friendly reminder he was still alive.
"This one opens up to the main street after it turns - we can cut 'em off!" If it wasn't for the jobs he was so used to doing nowadays, he wouldn't have a clue as to how these alley systems worked. Thankfully, they might just have the upper hand.

Sakura looked concernedly into his sweet face. For a second, his features flickered between warmth and anger. “Are you okay?” Sakura asked, gently. Moving closer so she may place a hand on his shoulder for reassurance. Before she could, however, the golden haired boy spoke in a measured sort of voice. The boy didn’t say much, other than his name, Roxas, before motioning for her to follow him. He walked briskly, so Sakura had to almost break into a run to keep up with him.
Roxas led them into a very narrow alley which led in the direction that ‘The Dash’ was heading towards. For a second, she looked up searchingly into the boy’s face but it was passive and measured. He nodded and Sakura followed into the thinner side street. “Alright, let’s go,” she said brightly. About half way down the alleyway, Roxas spoke again – explaining that this street would be a useful way to cut through and then cut off, ‘The Dash’ before it could escape. She couldn’t help herself and began to ask questions like, “Roxas? Do you live in Nexus?” and “I’m glad you know the streets so well, otherwise we’d never catch up. You must travel through them a lot?”
The end of the alley was so narrow that they had to leave one by one, hugging against the old, crumbling bricks. Before that they could make their escape from the stink of the alley, a yellow dot floated down from the sky and into Sakura’s open arms. She wanted to silence Kero before he spoke, but it was too late. Also, he had most definitely seen the little plush doll-like guardian flying down. There was no explaining it and she didn’t try. Sakura let out a small cry of exasperation and worry. “HWEEEEH...”
Before Sakura would silence him, Kero had already started to speak loudly and excitedly. “Sakura! I found ‘the Dash’. It went north into the other marke– ” Upon seeing Roxas, Kero cut himself short. Instantly freezing in place like the motionless doll, he appeared to be.

She certainly was talkative, wasn't she? In a way, the blond admired it and embraced it rather quickly. He liked it when other people talked and gave hi something to listen to, especially during times when he was feeling like.. Whatever this was supposed to be. Being around someone like Sakura, however, made him forget all about his troubles, if only for a few moments. He would have to be careful not to get spoiled with such company.
"Yeah, I do - and I guess you could say that." He responded through his gasps of breath that accompanied their fast pace. It wasn't long before he saw a blue streak dash in front of the opening, as well as something else flying toward them that caused his run to slow down into a slight jog. The boy turned only to watch that the levitating creature looked to be more than a stuffed toy rather than something that should have been flying and talking. But, of course, things never eased to surprise him when it came to Kindra and its hodgepodge of inhabitants.
Roxas tilted his head and pursed his lips as he watched himself be noticed by the small creature, which then proceeded to lay still in the air, gravity forcing it downward to plop upon the cobblestone ground beneath them. Curiously, the Nobody leaned down and picked the toy up, holding it in the palms of his hands. He had seen weirder things happen, to be honest.
A genuine smile grew upon his expression. "It's alright, I'm friendly." He figured that wouldn't be quite enough to convince the little thing that it would be safe in a stranger's presence, so Roxas held it out to the girl in front of him. "Is he what you were looking for? Never seen a cat quite like this one before.." The keyblader trailed off, that smile turning into more of a half-hearted smirk that playfully teased her of her lie.
"Does he have a name?"
