It wasn't that she was unhappy here per-se. It was good, to be away from Sybil in a place that wasn't exactly as war torn as the Shambala Float nonsense. Though, in reality she'd never truly been away from Sybil it turned out. Here though? It was strange. This place was so much like her home world in everything but that. It made her uneasy. Any time she would round a corner she would worry about running into a scanner, and being bound back to her service with Sybil. She wondered now if her hue would have changed. Technically she was working outside the law here. But could you work outside the law in a place run by true criminals? It wasn't like Sybil here. She could see now there was a difference, but she couldn't decide which was worse. At least here people were free to do as they chose. There was no such thing as a 'latent criminal'. Akane shook her head of the thoughts. If her hue hadn't changed by now she wondered if it would. She wasn't like Makishima but she was something. There was a reason Sybil wanted to integrate her and she couldn't really figure out why that was. Her sense of justice? She didn't trust that reasoning there had to be something more. It seemed no matter what she did her mind traveled right back to home. To a point she missed it. She didn't miss the place but she missed people. She hoped Ginoza was doing alright without her there. He never really did get along with Inspector Shimotsuki. Not that Kunizuka or Karanamori or any of the other Enforcers would do much better under her thumb. More than that she missed them as her friends. They were the people she had been close to. There was no use in dwelling. Right now? She wanted a quiet drink in a bar. Maybe she'd even pick up some leads. notesopen

you can reclaim your ♔ C R O W N ♔ [attr="class","monsterexo"] " Hey, hey! Take it easy!" His voice loudly snapped toward two drunken morons who had gotten a little too heated. He hated being around drunks, but unfortunately, this was the place to go when it came to his line of work. A bounty hunter could make the most profit off of those who weren't exactly in their best state of mind. It was kind of shitty to have to take advantage of people in that respect, but when it came to survival... He would do what he had to. If it meant being able to live and see his friends again... Then it would all be worth it in the long run. As much as it sucked right now. The least he could do was try to break up this damn fight. Idiots. He stood between the drunken buffoons, though it would soon become apparent to him that such wouldn't be quite enough. He narrowly avoided a punch that would have struck him directly in the face. The Prince's slate-blue eye widened in surprise, the sloppy blow having quite a bit of power packed behind it. God - he'd better resolve this fast before it got out of hand. A crowd had already started to build up, shout from other inebriated people of the bar hitting his ears. In his right hand, one of his swords appeared, though it was turned to the side to make sure that he sharp edge wouldn't hit the man in front of him. He was lucky that the one behind him wasn't as fired up, or else he might have been in some trouble. Noctis struck the man in the gut only to knock the wind out of him as soon as he'd reared up for another hit. The drunk fool coughed and spat out some curse words that fell upon deaf ears; it was obvious that he wouldn't stand a chance against someone who had spent their whole life training. He turned and stumbled out of the bar, clutching his stomach. Noctis proceeded to roll his eyes, sword fading away. When he received thanks, he simply waved his wrist in dismissal. He did what he thought was right no matter the circumstance, and now was no different. He didn't need special praise. He was sick of that. " Could I get some ice water? Thanks." He asked the bartender, who had seemed surprised he didn't ask for anything alcoholic after the ordeal. To be honest, he had never been into drinking and letting himself get out of his right mind. Not with the responsibility he held on his shoulders... He suddenly became far too conscious of the Ring of Lucii in his pocket. What would his father think of him, now? _____________ Tsunemori Akanehope you don't mind there's a prince in the bar MADE BY ★MEULK [newclass=.monsterexo]line-height:14px;[/newclass][newclass=.monsterexo b]color:#8DB7B0;[/newclass]

Akane was about to slip into the brawl, help the guy trying to break it up until she saw him summon a sword. Even though the man seemed adamant not to use any of the sharp edges, she knew better than to bring fists to a sword fight. She'd gotten strong, but she wasn't impervious and she didn't want to get in that guy's way. This place, one one hand she hated, absolutely deplored the way criminal activity seemed so common here, and so open on the streets. On the other? People were free to live their lives. Sybil wasn't some overlord controlling them all on puppet strings, being the most corrupt of them all. "Nice work there." She commented conversationally, even though she wasn't sure she agreed with his methods. Then again she was still on the fence about how she felt about using weapons that were stunners, or dominators. Even if she had used them in the past. Not to mention that the dominator wasn't above corruption either, though Sybil didn't tend to override them unless under very particular circumstances. The memories still plagued her. She didn't know how she felt about this world at all other than she sometimes wished she would have picked a different Link. This one felt so familiar. She figured it would feel like home, but no. It only proved to make her skin crawl. She still wondered if one day she'd find out it was all some trick created by Sybil. That she was in some sort of simulation, or that the presence of something like Sybil was only on the cusp of being created. Approved history books didn't tell them much about life pre-Sybil. Nor did they go into detail about how the system came to be, and even if they did she wouldn't believe them at face value. Even before she learned the true nature of Sybil she wasn't stupid enough to believe everything was as idyllic as it claimed to be. But this? This has to be something of what happened to create such a system. So many criminal rings all fighting each other and the government. Now she's seen what life if like outside of her home, here and Shambala and she can imagine it. Someone so desperate they used the brains of poerfect criminals to create order in society. She didn't like thinking on it too hard, or much when it came to Sybil. Especially not here. It was too easy to let her mind stray to mutinous thoughts, and she still wasn't wholly convinced this wasn't some sort of test.

you can reclaim your ♔ C R O W N ♔ [attr="class","monsterexo"] " Thanks." He repeated the word once more when the water was given to him. He was about to pull out his wallet when he was informed that water was free. Eh, cool - whatever. He'd take any ounce of saving money that he could get at this point. Growing up, he was never used to having to rough it in a tent, or having to work for every speck of money that could provide food. Lately, things had been easier. There was always a surplus of things that needed getting rid of when it came to pests. Places like Whitegrove and Tuuleen were usually teeming with business in Noctis' field, though he didn't dare set foot into the Bone Vales. The last thing he needed was to get gobbled up by something twenty times his own size. Not that he'd never fought monsters like that, but... He had his friends by his side back then. Without those three, who knows what would happen to him? He clenched his jaw at the thought of needing them to be by him to protect him. Ardyn had mocked him for it, but in the end.. He was right, wasn't he? Noctis was a prince who felt useless on his own. How idiotic of him; how was he supposed to protect his people if he didn't even offer the confidence to protect his own skin? Nice work there. The royal turned, looking at the one who had commented on his rather sloppy performance. He hadn't wanted to resort to violence during that whole mess, but it had come to that eventually. Noctis never did do too well when it came to smoothing things over verbally. The two of them being drunk, also, didn't help much in the grand scheme of thing. " No need to. Can't have idiots ruining the night for everyone else." He casually shrug his shoulders, bringing his glass of water up to his lips and taking in a large gulp. It chilled him to the core and caused him to sigh pleasurably. After having gotten far too used to drinking warm, metallic water, the sense of icy coldness was rather intense. " What kind of place are you from?" Noctis asked, the glass being set back down on the bar. The girl next to him had certainly seemed as though she'd been through far too much. In a way, he could tell that she was damaged, though he didn't know her, so he wouldn't pry. Everyone here... They had such a story to tell. _____________ Tsunemori Akane hope you don't mind there's a prince in the bar MADE BY ★MEULK [newclass=.monsterexo]line-height:14px;[/newclass][newclass=.monsterexo b]color:#8DB7B0;[/newclass]

"Still, it seems here people tend to mind their own business when it comes to those sort of things." She told the other with a shrug. Though horrible things happened in her home all the time and people turned a blind eye in favor of maintaining a healthy psycho-pass. She could understand it to a point, not that she could ever be a person like that. Getting justice for those wronged was what pushed her to be better. Even if that meant things were.... complicated. The girl snorted when the question was asked and she shook her head. "A place far worse than this." She responded simply. She didn't know how one even answered that question. A place where her country is self sustainable and therefore doesn't even knowledge the war-torn world outside it's borders unless it's to grasp more power. That her country was run by a series of brains belonging to some of the worst criminals Japan has ever seen? That people as young as three or four years old could be deemed latent criminals and locked up away from society for their own good? For the good of others? Or that she was willing to work for this monster because she knew the alternative. Knew that without Sybil dictating their lives, only chaos would come from it. She would bring an end to the reign of Sybil. She had told herself that a long time ago, and if she couldn't by the end of her lifetime she resigned herself to assimilate with them. Hoping to steer it's sense of justice and rightness to it's mainframe. Some good that would do if she couldn't get back. There was no use dwelling. "People aren't free like they are here. A bar fight like that is almost unheard of short of recent mental breaks. But most of the time it's caught before it can even come to pass." She responded simply. It was intentionally vague but even as she tried to explain it to an outsider it sounded horrible. And that was sugar coating it.
