It has been three days since Alex has first arrived here in this desert world. He has been looking for a way home ever since but with no luck. His footsteps left prints in the sand behind him as he walked, a few crunches being sounded. A gravelly sigh left his mouth. If he doesn't make it home, how in the world will he check on Dana? What about Ragland? The infection should be winding down, yeah, but he still needs to take care of it. His work is almost done, after all! Take care of the infection, make sure Blackwatch gets the hell out of New York, make sure Dana is safe, the fun stuff. But somehow he feels more... Open here. Not as in vulnerable but as in alone to himself. He has plenty of time to think to himself about his predicament and what he should do. He has an... Unstable relationship with humanity at the moment. He isn't sure what to do about it. Improve it? Vanish? Kill them all? No, not that last one. He's already done enough of that and he's already got enough voices in his head to prove it.
He could feel the heat pound on his body but it didn't have that much of an effect on him. He has active methods of cooling himself down. AKA forming a fan out of tendrils coming from his back. He kinda fanned himself with said tendril-fan with the blades spinning and spinning. It was... Effective. But he has to be careful not to chop any of him off. Sure, he can reassemble himself, but it would take a lot of biomass and effort. And energy. Either way, he still has to be careful. Alex continued to walk, head down and eyes forward. He has to reach civilization eventually...
Eventually... NOTES ; First thread hype!

Wings fluttering.
"This isn't exactly the kindest environment to be traversing."
The tone of the voice was curious as the sound of crunching sand approached Alex, soft enough to be nearly inaudible had there been any wildlife to make noise in the desolate landscape. She hummed slightly, tilting her head and examining the tendrils coming out of his back with a keen eye.
"I suppose you've come up with a way around the heat though. That's quite wonderful. Haven't seen something like that in... Ages."
A cheerful note to her voice as she crossed her pale arms, smiling lightly.
"You don't know why you're here, do you? No one ever does."
She kept her distance from him, not wanting to incite a negative reaction and thus end the conversation prematurely.

Alex lifted his head to look at the stranger. This one didn't seem phased by any part of him. How interesting. Usually he gets the reaction of fear and anxiety, especially when he uses his powers. The tendrils were a sight, of course. He usually gets caught by Blackwatch when it comes to his powers but, well, there's no Blackwatch here. Alex kept a straight face compared to the other's cheerfulness. Despite this, he tries his best to not come off as harmful. He already has a bad reputation back in Manhattan.
"I don't..."
Alex's hands were in his pockets, staying in there unless he feels like taking them out.
"Who... Are you?"
That was the question of the day. The other looked curious about him though he felt something was... Off. The virus moved his eyes in thought before returning to make eye contact with the other. Black all over, slightly ominous, really pale skin. Kinda reminded him of himself. After all, there's always a bad feeling coming when it relates to someone wearing a hood. And that hood NEVER comes off. It's... Kinda fused with him. He feels comfortable like that and doesn't feel like morphing himself to create hair. NOTES ; Hello!

Her smile widened slightly as she trained her gaze to her feet for a moment as she decided to approach him, moving to stand next to him. When she was, she looked up, her eyes following the horizon a moment before she looked over at him. “There's a few names that people and creatures have branded me with. All of them are correct, in that they have a concept that, despite being fairly sad and gloomy, is essentially the point of my existence. Granted, their depictions of me as a skeleton guy with a scythe is a little in the nose, but…”
She paused as she hummed a bit, looking over his face, “You can call me Didi.”
She motioned for him to walk with her, turning and starting the trek, “I'm familiar with you, though I'm sure you're not terribly fond of me. People that I greet that you've.. Dealt with seem extremely relieved to see me. I don't really blame them. You'd be a scary way to die.”
She kept her hands behind her as they walked, looking around the desolate landscape in curiosity, as if she were seeing things for the first time.
OOC Hello!~

Alex, with no where else to go, followed the strange girl. Mostly out of curiosity. She explained herself and, well, Alex could only feel even more curious. The way she talked and the things she said... Alex came to one single assumption...
"Are you... Saying that you're... Death?"
No wonder he got the off feeling about her. If she was really the embodiment of death... Yeah, she had a lot a people to meet after his deeds. But what about those he consumed? The people he absorbed, they're all a part of him now. They ARE him. Is that a fate worse than death, to be consumed by this monster so it can pretend to be you? Well, at the point, he doesn't like doing it. He already has enough voices in his head.. All talking... Screaming... Oh how Alex wishes for them to shut up.
He kept his eyes on the strange girl while he walked, hands out of his pockets. His tendril fan was still spinning to keep him cool. NOTES ; Hello!

Didi beamed, “In the flesh. Yeah, that’s the main name that I get. You get why it’s kinda hard to explain such a strange concept. You’re handling it quite well. But, I’m not here for you, so that’s probably part of the reason.” She stopped talking a bit as they walked, the sound of the sand under their feet filling the silence. She seemed to be looking for something, though was puzzled. “You know, I don’t really know what I’m doing here either.” The admission broke the silence quite abruptly and there was another pause before she continued, “I mean. I exist where there is existence, but… This place feels rather timeless, doesn’t it? In that strange way. Like people that should have died are here and… It’s rather curious. I wonder who created this realm.” She tilted her head and glanced at him a moment before inquiring, “Are you a wanderer, here? How long have you been here?”

Well, death isn't a foreign concept to Alex. He's seen it straight up close in his face. He's even caused it. It didn't really bother him that he's in the presence of Death him- HERself. Though it left him wondering... Wouldn't she be aggressive towards him? He did send an influx of soldiers to her domain, Blackwatch and marine alike. Along with a couple of scientists... And then there was the real Alex Mercer... How did his presence affect her? His unforgivable actions... Wouldn't she be mad? But back to the topic at hand.
"I'm... Not sure... It feels like forever... Yet I just arrived..."
Timeless, indeed. Alex lost track of how long ago it was when he first got here. And, like he said, it felt like forever even if it was a short time ago. Suddenly waking up in the sands and cracked ground of the desert... The sun blinding his eyes for a moment before he first got up to walk around. But that was then.
"Do you... Know your way around?" NOTES ; I find it tough to type up to at least 200 words. I dunno why.

Didi stopped in her tracks, looking around suddenly. Her face was blank, observing and searching for something. Though, in this landscape it was easy to find anyone or thing living. She shrugged a bit, her small smile returning.
"Not really. But I kind of know where we are. I guess it just depends on where you're going. I spend a lot of time just wandering around out here, but sometimes I travel to the other lands here, in this world."
A hum escaped her throat again before she continued walking, though this time it was to the left of them. She made no indication of the change of direction, just simply walked. This pace lasted a while in silence, a small dark figure coming into view on the ground. She seemed to be heading towards it, though its writhing form seemed extremely threatening. She showed no sign of slowing.
"So, Alex," she spoke suddenly, cheerful, "Are you comfortable in this place?"
