The world is not as it once was.

The Avengers are divided. Some follow Tony Stark and accept oversight from the UN appointed Watch, believing the only way to earn the public's trust is to operate in the spotlight. Others believe that the safest hands are their own and follow Steve Rogers to protect the world in secret.

The mutants, once safely sheltered in Xavier's Institute, are now scattered in the wake of a terrorist attack. Whether they too will fall under the Watch's supervision or forge their own path remains to be seen.

SHIELD, distrustful of oversight after ridding themselves and the world of HYDRA, continues to train and recruit Inhumans, desperate to find a way to fulfill their mission of protection while the world scorns their name.

All have the best interests of the world at heart, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions. It's anyone's guess what will happen...
