At a young age, Sora’s heart became the resting place for Ventus’, agreeing to help keep Ventus’ heart from deteriorating until Ventus could repair the damage. Several years later, at the age of four, Sora met both Terra and Aqua--the former being only at a distance. Aqua made Sora promise to look after Riku, to make sure that he doesn’t follow a dark path. Sora was a bit confused but agreed, after all, Riku was his best friend, why wouldn’t he take care of him? It wasn’t long afterwards that Sora once again allowed Ventus into his heart while he slept. Sometime later, a young girl named Kairi appears on the islands during a meteor shower.
[break][break]
Ten years later, Sora, Kairi, and Riku have become inseparable. They decide to build a raft to get them off the island, and in between finding provisions for the trip Sora makes time to compete with Riku either by fighting or racing. It is during this that Sora is met by a shadowy figure--later revealed to be Xehanort’s heartless--and is told that the world has been connected. He isn’t sure what that means, but doesn’t allow it to bother him as he resumes his quest to find the items he’s been charged with collecting. That night a massive storm hits and everything goes to Hell, thus the start of Sora's journey.
[break][break]
After defeating the giant heartless that appeared on the Islands, Sora wakes up on a world called Traverse Town. It’s there that he meets with Leon and Yuffie and they explain what the keyblade is. Shortly afterwards, he joins forces with Donald and Goofy, agreeing to not only look for Riku and Kairi, but also King Mickey. Their journey takes them to several worlds, until Sora finally meets up with Riku back on Traverse Town. Everyone--minus Riku--seems shocked and confused when Riku manages to steal the keyblade from Sora and then promptly runs off. (After giving it back of course)
[break][break]
This doesn’t bother Sora, as he’s sure he’ll meet up again and now he can focus on finding Kairi. However, the next few times he meets Riku, the older boy is hostile even to the point where he taunts Sora after finding Kairi and locking Sora up in the holding cell of Captain Hook’s ship. Sora, being Sora, didn’t let this phase him either it isn’t until Hollow Bastion that Sora realizes something is wrong. Riku takes the Keyblade back from him--explaining, sort of, that Sora never was the intended wielder--which weakens Sora's resolve for about….five seconds. Upon finding Riku again, Sora takes the Keyblade back, thus earning the right to officially become the true wielder.
[break][break]
Shortly afterwards, Sora completely destroys Maleficent and meets up with Riku again. Only this time he realizes it isn't his best friend but in fact Ansem possessing Riku. He beats him and then frees Kairi's heart--which was trapped inside his own, must be crowded in there. Doing this turns him into a heartless, but he manages to hold onto a little bit of himself long enough to get to Kairi and then be returned to his normal self through her love and light.
[break][break]
After all of this, he goes to the End of the World and completely destroys Ansem’s plans to open the door to darkness, instead opening it to light. Sora does this a lot, ruining people's plans. He shuts the door, locking Riku--the real Riku--inside along with King Mickey. He then promises Kairi that he'll come back to her and sets off on his second journey: to find Riku.
[break][break]
Spoiler Alert! He doesn't find him. Not at first anyways, instead he gets tricked and side tracked into Castle Oblivion were Marluxia has set up an elaborate plan to completely rewire Sora to fight for him and take down the rest of the Organization--namely Xemnas. It almost works, except Namine gets a conscious--okay she's actually a sweet girl and had no choice--and Axel likes to ruin plans as well. In the end, Sora's memories have been completely rewritten and he has no memory of Kairi. So, Namine and Riku put him to sleep to help fix his memory. Basically...Sora sleeps for a year.
[break][break]
When Sora finally wakes up, he remembers nothing of Castle Oblivion, but everything else is still intact. He still has not found Riku. Before leaving Twilight Town Sora begins to feel sad, it baffles everyone, including Sora. They head on to talk to Yen Sid who clues them in on some stuff and then sends them on their way. First stop? Hollow Bastion.
[break][break]
Once there, Sora meets up with some old friends and of course agrees to help them without a moments hesitance. The most important thing, however, is that this is the first encounter he has with the Organization--that he remembers--and it goes as well as you can expect. They confuse him, talking about how he reminds them of someone. And when Sora gets confused, he tends to get a little snappy, especially towards people he doesn't like--which the Organization already falls into that category.
[break][break]
This goes on for a while. Sora traveling to worlds, agreeing to help people without any hesitation, and the Organization showing up randomly to poke at him. Eventually, Sora finds himself back at Hollow Bastion and because Donald can't follow instructions, gets sucked into a virtual world. This doesn't stop Sora from wanting to help Tron, despite the program not actually being a person, which just tests to how Sora is as a person.
[break][break]
After helping Tron, they get access to Ansem’s computer files, which unfortunately, have mostly been corrupted. Sora is a little disheartened by this, but he doesn't get to dwell on it for long as a battle starts raging. Mickey orders Donald, Goofy, and Sora to leave and look for Riku but they respectfully disobey. Demyx is the first Organization to fall at Sora's hand and it actually bothers him to see someone just fade away--and look terrified while doing it. If they don't have hearts, how was he scared?
[break][break]
After defeating several heartless, the leader of the Organization, Xemnas shows up. This is when Sora finds out that what he fought a year ago was actually the heartless of Xehanort who took Ansem’s name later on. Shortly after, Sora comes face with Saix After Axel apologizes for kidnapping Kairi. Saix proceeds to taunts Sora, even making him beg to see Kairi only to tell him no. It was all to get a rise from Sora and to then turn that anger on the heartless. When Sora realizes the Organization is using him to collect hearts, he despairs….for about five seconds.
[break][break]
Afterwards, Sora revisits the worlds, helping people and taking down Organization members in the process. At one point, he chases down a member who he realizes, once the member runs away, that it was Riku. Which also tests to Sora as a person since he can be a little clueless at times, bless his heart.
[break][break]
Eventually, his journey leads him back to Twilight Town where he finds a portal that leads him in between realms. While there he is joined by Axel to defeat several nobodies, and Axel is forced to sacrifice himself. Sora is struck with a deep sadness as he sits by Axel’s side as the nobody fades away. Afterwards, he heads into the Nobodies home world.
[break][break]
Upon arrival, Sora has some weird trip and ends up in a battle with none other than Roxas himself. Sora is victorious and Roxas leaves with some parting words that leaves Sora confused, again. Heading through the streets, Sora finally makes it to a Castle. Eventually, he comes into contact with Saix again--who is still a jerk--and has to fight Xigbar, who is also a jerk, all while being confused on why Ansem is helping Kairi a few floors above him. After defeating Xigbar, he runs to meet Kairi's and Ansem only to find out, it's not Ansem, but Riku. Sora loses it. Not because Riku looks the way he does, but because finally, after all this time, he found Riku. In fact, nothing else matters to Sora and he carrys on like there is nothing wrong with his best friend at all.
[break][break]
The next Organization member to go is Luxord and finally, Saix, again. After that battle, Sora finally learns the truth about Roxas: he's his nobody. At first Sora is confused, until he remembers he was turned into a heartless once. Afterwards, they meet the real Ansem. After his strange machine blows up, Riku is returned to normal and Sora wastes no time in picking on his best friend followed by cheering him up. Then, they get to fight a very strange battle with Xemnas which ends with Riku getting injured and both of them locked in the Realm of Darkness. Eventually, they find their way back with the help of a letter from Kairi.
[break][break]
The next adventure starts with Sora being a bit too arrogant and saying he doesn't need to take a test to prove he's a keyblade master. In the end, he agrees mainly because Riku does and he has a bit of a competitive streak when it comes to his best friend. So, he begins a dream dive into sleeping worlds to wake them from sleep, all the time being separated from Riku and being stalked by Xehanort. Only it's a baby version of Xehanort.
[break][break]
Eventually he ends up back in the World That Never Was where Xigbar--back from the dead--tells him it was all planned from the beginning. Or well, parts of it were. See, it was originally supposed to be Riku, but Sora ruined that by helping is friend. Then it was supposed to be Roxas, but again got ruined, although not really Sora's fault it was close enough. See what I mean when I mentioned earlier that Sora ruins plans?
[break][break]
Sora is put back into sleep and he starts chasing his dreams further and further into darkness, all the while ignoring Riku who is yelling at him to wake up. He meets Namine and Xion--the latter makes him cry even though he doesn't know why--and finally, Roxas. He tells his other half that he deserves to be a person too and that he had wanted to tell him before but never got the chance. After that, Roxas gives all of his feelings and memories to him which makes Sora sad and angry. How could the Organization do this? Shortly afterwards, Sora gets told the ugly truth: Organization XIII did have hearts. Xemnas told them that they didn't in an attempt to control them and get them ready to accept Xehanort’s heart as their own. Sora becomes angry and they fight, ultimately leading to his own downfall. Sora passes out, leaving himself vulnerable to become Xehanort’s 13th vessel.
[break][break]
When he wakes up, for some unknown reason, Sora decides to have a tea party. Why? Possibly in celebration for being alive or maybe because it's just Sora. It isn't until Riku wakes up that he pulls himself away from the party to tackle his best friend, more afraid for Riku's well-being than his own. Later, when Riku gets named Keyblade Master, Sora almost seems more overjoyed than Riku does. He is truly happy for his friend. It isn't until Yen Sid starts talking to Sora alone that there is a break in Sora's happy facade. It only lasts for about five seconds, as is customary for Sora, and he merely shrugs it off.
[break][break]
Sora is currently trying to find a way to reclaim the abilities that he has lost, helping people along the way, and trying to come to terms with the darkness he now realizes he possesses.

See: a puppy.
[break][break]
In all seriousness, Sora is a very compassionate person. When he meets you, you are automatically his friend unless you are in fact an evil person. He is quick to forgive, however, as seen with Riku--his best friend who legitimately tried to kill him at one point--and Axel, who kidnapped Kairi and wanted to turn him into a heartless to get Roxas back.Sora has a strong sense of justice and loyalty, willing to risk himself for just about anyone to protect them.
[break][break]
Despite his compassion, Sora can be extremely vicious to his enemies. He has no tolerance for cowardice and selfishness and is quick to call people out on it. He shows extreme aggression towards Nobodies, constantly reminding them that they don’t deserve to exist. The only exception to this seems to be Axel, Namine, and Roxas.
[break][break]
Sora appears to be naive and gullible sometimes, falling for the simplest things such as Mulan trying to pass for a man--however, he didn’t fall for Xemnas trying to play on his sympathetic side. Despite this, Sora has also been shown to be extremely smart and normally takes control of most situations. He has a strong competitive streak, challenging Riku from a young age--and anyone else that he may come in contact with. Despite this, he can be quite humble when defeated, such as when Riku passed the Mark of Mastery test and he did not.
[break][break]
Main Weapon: Keyblade[break]
Originally, Sora was only temporarily able to use the keyblade meant for Riku. Eventually, through the strength of his heart, he was able to become a permanent wielder of it. Over time, he even became able to duel wield keyblades from both housing Ventus’ heart AND merging with Roxas.
[break][break]
Sora’s fighting style is very reckless, showing his untrained situation. He fights with both hands, using the keyblade almost like a blunt weapon to beat his enemies into submission. He’s been mocked many times by his opponents, only to become the victor. His sheer determination and offensive way of fighting makes him unstoppable once he gets going.
[break][break]
Magic:[break]
Sora knows a plethora of magic based on the three basic elements: fire, blizzard, and thunder. Over time he learned things such as Aero, Gravity, Magnet, and Reflect. He is exceptionally good at Cure, used both on himself and others.
[break][break]
Forms:[break]
Valor Form: Able to use two keyblades, utilizes strength to the max. Unable to use magic, even cure spells. Normally that isn’t a problem as he can overpower most enemies before they have a chance to retaliate. Sora is noticeably faster as well, with red clothes.
[break][break]
Wisdom Form: One keyblade, utilizes magic. Sora seems to float above the ground, using his keyblade to shoot magic projectiles at his enemies. He doesn’t attack physically at all with this, but his magic is increased. His outfit is blue.
[break][break]
Master Form: Two keyblades, one in his hand and the other wielded telekinetically behind him. It is a mixture of Valor and Wisdom, increasing both strength and magic evenly. His outfit is yellow.
[break][break]
Final Form: Two keyblades, both wielded telekinetically. This unveils Sora’s true potential, allowing him to use both magic and strength to its max. His attacks are fast and devastating, with silver clothes.
[break][break]
Anti Form: A form activated by the darkness in Sora’s heart. He regains his sense of self, but otherwise is a full-fledged heartless--complete with yellow eyes, and a black mist that seems to be alive as it twists around and rises from his body. His attacks are rapid and bestial, but he is unable to use magic or other healing items.
