It was so strange to think that Saix had tried to kill him when they met the last time before appearing here. Based on their interaction now, one wouldn't really think that there was such a bad history between them. While it wasn't exactly relaxed, their interaction now did not suggest that they could easily reduce themselves to fighting. He didn't think that either had it in them to really kill the other. Try, absolutely, that was obvious, but not really kill.
Axel raised a brow at Saix as he basically offered him free reign in redecorating. If they were in such a bad place with each other, why would he say that? Maybe it had something to do with the fact that they weren't "home" anymore. Xemnas wasn't here to build that wall between them. They might just need each other a little since it was all they had of where they had once come from. There were no signs that they could find their way back, returning to the Castle, or any other world they knew. While Axel knew Roxas was here, he knew that the two wouldn't get along no matter how far from home they were. So, Axel would keep that to himself and just take this for the shocking miracle that it was.
"Fine. Since you won't do it, I don't want any complaints about what I do." The Flurry wagged a finger at the Diviner and leaned against the counter. He had some ideas as to what to do here, but he would have to be careful not to overstep his bounds too quickly. After all, it wasn't like he was going to move in and take over the kitchen like he had at the Castle. He made a small noise at Saix as he said that he ate out all the time. "So, you're eating crap."
Pushing off the counter, Axel neared the blue haired Nobody that he once called friend. "That means that this is just a really expensive place to sleep. A nice set of rooms, but pointless if you're never here." He shook his head as he chided his old partner. If they were in a better place, Axel might make more use of it himself since it would mean a place to rest up between jobs and he would have to spend a little less to do so. Another pointless thing. Why bother thinking about something that wasn't going to happen. This little visit was probably going to be a one off thing since he was sure Saix would get mad at him again and tell him to get out. It was just a matter of time.

You better stay clever if you want to survive "That was not--" Saix cut off with a sigh. What was the point? If Axel got it in his head that this was what he was going to do, there wasn't much that he could do to deter him. Not without resorting to bodily harm anyways, something that he didn't really want to do, not now. Not ever again. The fact that he had before, that Axel's demise was partly his fault, ate away at a part of him that he didn't even realize he still had. The name of what he "felt" was on the tip of his tongue, but that in itself was a lie. A nobody couldn't feel. A brow rose as Axel accused him of eating crap, and to be honest the Flurry wasn't entirely wrong. It wasn't as if he sat down to eat a decent meal, whenever he did eat, and he didn't have Axel to force him to eat. Saix clenched his jaw as Axel started towards him, and he rolled his eyes slightly at being scolded. It was true, yes, that he hardly spent any time here except to sleep, but he did have a job to do. "Yes...because I do so much entertaining." The Diviner's words were dry and if it was possible for his brow to raise any higher it would have. Saix cleared his throat after a moment, turning away from Axel. In truth, Axel was the first person he had ever allowed inside the apartment. Not that there were people lined up to do so. In fact the main reason the apartment was as bare as it was, was mainly due to the fact that it was just him. What interests did he have to decorate? The moon shone brightly through the windows without any help from him and it brought enough comfort. "I sleep and I work. What more is there for me to do?" Especially since worl kept his mind off of things. Things that caused pain, both in his head and the void where his heart should be. Saix moved, to stand by the window, staring out at the city, the moon, much like he did back home. Absently, the Diviner ran his fingers through the blue strands of his hair, golden eyes finally moving to focus on Axel's reflection in the mirror. "You should change clothes. There is no need for that coat any longer." There was no darkness to hide them from. And now it was merely a reminder of him . If Axel hadn't been looking at Saix, he still would have heard the slight irritation. He would have heard how the Diviner gave up on trying to convince Axel to behave, or not bother changing anything in his apartment. However, Saix knew better and stopped himself which was slightly amusing. Even after all this time, they still knew each other so well. They knew when to give up arguing some point that they wanted to make but realized they wouldn't win. It was mostly just Saix letting Axel do as he pleased, or at most just controlling his mischief so he got hurt a little less.
The redhead smirked as Saix gave that last remark, almost a last ditch attempt to deter anything changing in his place. "For someone who doesn't entertain, I gotta say, I'm very entertained," He shot back. It was a mild entertainment by their standards, but it was more than he ever thought would be between them again. It was going to be shocking for a while that they were on "good terms." It was probably always going to be shocking that Axel wasn't frying Saix for the pain he caused. If he hadn't given himself up to save Sora, he would have slowly faded anyway, leaking the way he had been.
He needed something else to think about. Something more pleasant. The Flurry gave his form friend a very disappointed look. Saix imagination had never exactly been the highest caliber, but he could do better than just work and sleep. He shook his head, watching the expressions reflected in the glass. "Storm a castle, of course," He said as if it were the most obvious thing in the worlds to do. "Have to find a castle first, but that's just part of the fun." Back home, there were plenty of castles to choose from, so this new kink in their plan would just make it that much more involved. Wait, their plan? No, he was going to forget he even thought that for now.
Axel shifted a little, turning away to look elsewhere in the apartment, but still being able to see Saix with a side glance if he wanted. What was the point in changing his clothes? The cloak was the only thing that was his in this new set of worlds, the only piece of home that he had until now. He crossed his arms over his chest and thought of a less sentimental reason for him not to change, not that he cared much for sentiment really. Not like that anyway. While he could think of a few different answers to respond with, Axel went with one the simplest ones. "Why change clothes when I have nowhere to put them? This is easier." The only way he was going to get more clothes was if he had somewhere stable like this to keep them. It wasn't like Saix was going to offer up space so keeping the cloak was the only option.
Saix might not offer him room here, the fact that he had been invited in and he wasn't being hurt for the betrayal he caused was strange enough that he should comment on it. Their friendship, their partnership had disintegrated slowly and it had been because he didn't do enough to keep Saix out of Xemnas' grip. He had allowed the Superior to really manipulate the one person he could call his other half, then let Saix think that he had moved on. Roxas had been the last wedge between them because Axel had gotten too close. He had done a lot of damage to those closest to him, so really he shouldn't be that bitter about being sliced through, right? But no matter who's fault it had been that caused that furious reaction, one thing needed to be answered. "Why are you being nice to me?"

You better stay clever if you want to survive Saix grunted slightly. Of course Axel was entertained, when was the Flurry not? Especially at his expense. The Diviner swore it was Axel's favorite past time to see how quickly he could get under his skin, even when they were somebodies. Of course, back then it ended in far less bloodshed. Golden eyes cut towards Axel with an skeptical look. Storm a castle? How ridiculous and childish he really shouldn't have expected much different. No matter how much the Flurry may have changed, somethings would always remain the same. The fact that Axel was willing to placate the thought of storming a castle with him was surprising. Actually, the fact that he was here at all was surprising. After what he'd done, after what he allowed to happen. The claws he fought against for do long had sunk in further than he had realized. It wasn't until he felt Axel slipping away and by that point it was too late. The damage had been done. He could still feel the blood against his hands, a feeling he had never been able to shake. A weight that rested heavily against his shoulders. "Get rid of it." Saix's tone was sharp. There was no reason for Axel to keep it. He didn't care what else the Flurry had as long as it wasn't that. Although the fact that Axel had no place to call home made his chest tighten. Or maybe it was what the Flurry said next that had caused his chest to tighten. Words left him, and he stared at Axel's reflection in the window, expression as emotionless as always. Why was he being nice to him? Because. Do I need a reason? You're my best friend. Because of a promise. Just the two of us. Forever. I need you, Lea. Thoughts ran rampant in his mind. Every little thing that he wanted to say to the other nobody, needed to say to him. But the words just wouldn't come and his throat constricted. Saix turned finally to look at Axel, lips parting to speak. "Would you rather I not be?" Subject change. It was what he was good at. Subject changes, silence, omission of truth. But never the truth. Not since they were kids and even then... Axel Puppy says hi in a typical angry manner >> MADE BY VEL OF GS + ADOX 2.0

Emerald eyes snapped to look at the reflection in the window. That harsh voice told him volumes. Partly, it meant "danger, proceed with caution." Even Isa had a tone like that when they were still alive in a more complete way. He had never worried about protecting himself from physical harm with that tone then, but now his guard went up a little bit more.
The other thing that it told him was that Saix was actually bothered by this particular article of clothing. Being that Axel didn't have much else, he would rather give it up for now than risk it being too badly damaged to wear. The redhead slid the zipper up and pulled the leather from his shoulders. He laid the garment over the back of the nearest chair.
It left him standing in just the black tank top and jeans that he always wore under it. "Nope, don't want you getting hostile. Been there, done that. Didn't buy the shirt," He commented, tucking his hands into his back pockets and turning his back on the other.
Without the coat, there would be less for Saix to complain about so he was somewhat safer now. As long as they kept it civil, then things would be fine until he left, taking that coat with him. For now, he wandered back toward the kitchen just for something to do.
"So, you never did finish telling me about the new guys," He said over his shoulder for anything that would fill the silence. The Diviner might not be loyal to Xemnas, and this new leader of his thankfully wasn't the silver haired Superior, but it was still someone. The other Nobodies was still giving orders to underlings and there could be useful information in that.
Mostly, it was just any kind of distraction from what that coat represented, and, oddly, how much more alone and lost Axel felt without it. So, rather than think about that, he went back to rummaging in the cabinets for anything to snack on.
