At the Start
Here is where you will find all the information you need to get started here on Kindra. It contains the rules of our board, existing plot, lore, and history specific to the board.
Important announcements will be placed here. They will often include information about site updates, plot changes, and activity checks. They will also usually require member participation so please pay attention to this area.
Here is where members can give their input. Guests are encouraged to use the Questions thread as well as members, and any feedback or suggestions are welcomed. Also if moderation of a thread is needed please say so here in the Moderation thread.
The Community area is where members can come to get a break from all the plots and schemes they have cooked up. You play fun games, share resources that might help fellow members, or just chat. This is also where the departure thread is located that you must post in to be spared from activity sweeps.
Nexus stands tall with skyscrapers and towers, and it constantly shines bright under a night sky with a consistent full moon. Neon lights light the way here, as the bustling link is filled to the brim with casinos, high class hotels with ranging prices, and plenty of entertainment to keep one’s self busy. At first glance, Nexus would seem like paradise, but it has its dark corners and secrets just like any other place. A secretive and anonymous mafia are the ones that run Nexus, and they are the ones that make the majority of the profits from the link. They protect these businesses from outsiders, but in return demand a rather hearty chunk from their pay. Some view them as saviors, while others view them as no more than greedy pests. There are plenty of alleyways here for illegal actions to take place, and even though there is a police force in Nexus, it’s very corrupt and immoral. The homes here range from beautiful mansions to drug-ridden slums - it all depends on who you know and what you do.
Outside of small villages, the environment here is harsh and unforgiving. Snow is a constant, and although it is beautiful to the eyes, it isn’t quite as kind when it comes to the frostbite. Villages are scattered about this harsh terrain, and there is one by the name of Elkspath which holds the most inhabitants and the most space.
A city built of wood, Arus carries them forward, taking them to familiar places and new places, though it always seems to be gracious enough to lead them back to their resources. This Link is almost entirely made of water, and the floating city has made it their home unlike any other; the society found here is unique and intuitive, as well as welcoming and friendly.
A trip to Stomend is a trip to the Victorian era anew, with locomotives and cobblestone roads and classy buildings that reek of steam and with a sepia-esque aesthetic splashing along its paint. While Nexus boasts a city of bright neon lights reminiscent of Las Vegas, Stomend is rolling just into the beginnings of electricity and steam-driven equipment.
A world seen only after a great catastrophe. What was once a bustling, lively city and its outskirts are now just ruins and empty shells of what once was. It was like all the inhabitants just decided to abandon their lives, dropping everything at a moment's notice. Don't worry, for as ruined and dangerous as the crumbling area seems, the Salvagers are here to help.
A desert wasteland hounded by monstrous creatures. Because of it's harsh terrain and bloodthirsty creatures it is almost completely uninhabitable. Unfortunately, it is also the home of valuable resources and a few brave people call it home in order to collect these resources.
For any M-rated threads. This board is password protected; ask the Staff if you would like to gain access. This includes explicit sexual situations as well as gory/torturous threads that go over the threshold of PG-13. Remember that PG-13 allows for swearing, some suggestiveness, fade-to-black, and some blood and violence, but not an excessive amount.
For any and all threads that take place outside of Kindra's canon, whether it be within the original world of the characters or somewhere else. Posts here don't count toward the Activity Check, but they do count toward your overall post count.
For threads that take place within the future or the past of Kindra. Event threads wind up getting moved to the sub-forum here when they are no longer taking place. Posts here do count toward the Activity Check, as they are considered canon to Kindra's universe.
For tech threads. Please remember that not every section in Kindra has electricity, but this is serviceable for those who either a) come from areas that do or
brought technology along with them when they went to a different section.
