all the worlds are connected - one sky, one destiny
When she'd first arrived, Kairi had assumed that this was the same world she'd always lived in. Either that or she'd traveled through another Dark Corridor by mistake. But that seemed like a possibility that was almost impossible since one couldn't just wander into one without realizing it. Not to mention that the redhead didn't have that kind of power. The last time she traveled through one... it was with Namine and Riku. Back in her world.
Now because of the kind of world she had originally come from, if anyone she knew heard that they would probably misinterpret. It wasn't that she was in a different world from Destiny Islands where she had grown up, but an entirely different Universe altogether. There was no way, from what she had heard or discovered herself, to get back to her original world. Nor her universe. It was almost as thought she was stuck there, forced to create an entirely new life and identity for herself.
But after everything she'd been through? There was very little chance that the redhead was just going to... forget. That was the wrong word. She'd forgotten once before and deep inside herself vowed never to do so again. What she meant was that she wasn't just going to settle down and pretend as though this was her life now. No, Kairi had told herself that waiting wasn't good enough anymore. She'd decided that she was going to take action herself. Damsel in distress? Not every Princess was one.
In order to find herself a type of income, she'd found herself a digital camera and begun promoting herself as a photographer. Actually it was enjoyable! More than that, it was something that Kairi was beginning to believe she should have tried long ago. But she was still a novice - just like she was at being a Keyblade Wielder - and learning the basics. She was sure that in time, that would change.
Now she had come to the place called Arus because... well it reminded her of the Island that she, Riku and Sora used to play on. So many memories surrounded that place and it was sad that she was never going to return there, but also a little exciting. It meant that there was much more in store for her and Kairi couldn't wait to find out. Not to mention that there were some great landscapes that she might be able to use!
Just as she lifted her camera to take a photo, she felt someone bump into her (it was a busy area so she didn't blame the other person) and caused the photo to become blurry. After she recovered, the redhead turned to the person with concern written all over her face. "Are you alright? Sorry for standing in the way. It's pretty busy out here isn't it?"
