History [Break]
Akane was perfectly average most of her life, though she had always been bright. She was lucky too, she never had to worry too much about her mental care, something her friends had always been jealous of. Not to mention the fact that she had scored very well in all her aptitude tests. She had taken for granted that she had so many options for her future at her fingertips. still. She had been the only one who had placed so high into the MWPSB and for some reason she thought that was fate. She had been determined to do well when she joined the MWPSB but at first she had thought she might have made a mistake. Shooting Kogami on her first mission didn't seem to make her many friends, except for Kogami himself which still seemed strange to her.
[break][break]
When it became clear that all of their cases seemed to have some sort of link was when things went south. Makishima was an enemy they could not burn through unscathed. She had bartered and bribed, but still it ended with Kogami a fugitive and her being the only one who knew the truth about Sybil. A hard burden to bear, but she remained mentally in-tact. She missed Kogami greatly, to the point of burning his cigarettes like incense in her home until eventually smoking them herself when she got too stressed, but even if her coping mechanisms didn't seem the most....healthy they worked for her. Enough that her psycho-pass didn't seem to waver. Even through the brutal murder or her grandmother, an ear all she was presented with. For the first time she felt that rage burning under the surface. The urge to hurt and maim, the desire for revenge. Ginoza having to physically restrain her from attacking the man who presented it to her. Her psycho-pass had never been higher than that point, if she had to guess. She was thankful for her partner there, but that day still haunted her.
[break][break]
Bringing in Makishima, Kamui, and Togane each left their own scars on her. Hardening her. She's done some quite reckless things since her days as a rookie. Like staying in her apartment even after someone proved they could break into it, much to Ginoza's displeasure. She's loyal to her team of enforcers. Especially those who have been with her since the beginning. Ginoza, Kunizuka and Karanomori were more family than subordinates at this point. She didn't care what the other inspectors thought of her relationship with her enforcers. Not even Shimotsuki, she could report her to Sybil all she wanted, but it wouldn't get her anywhere. They would never really be able to get rid of her.
[break][break]
The mission overseas had changed her in it's own way too, but to a lesser degree. Seeing Kogami again had rocked her, but only so much. It seemed so much less personal outside of her own little world. Even if there it seemed like she was closer to being a direct target than many other times. And now? It seemed she had fallen into a very very strange new world. Magic and even dimensional travel seemed possible now and it was odd for so many reasons.

Appearance[break]
Akane is a small individual, she stands at 5'4. As far as looks go, she doesn't seem like much. An average girl. Short, practical hair style, and honey-brown eyes. She's not a looker, in fact it's very easy for her to blend into the background. The clothes she wears are practical and simple, business suit for work, and functional shoes. Her casual clothes are slightly frillier, but by comparison to many they too are rather plain. Neutral colors and simple style. She's physically fit, much more than she once was. Enough that she can hold her own in a fight against Kogame, and various villains in the world, but it's hard to tell, as she is unassuming at best.
Personality[break]
Akane is an optimist but no longer is she naive. She no longer recognizes the woman staring back at her from photos of her younger days. Her face has hardened from loss and harship. She is by no means a coward, though she prefers to avoid killing when she can. Going so far as to direct her team to ceasefire until they could bring criminals down into non-lethal levels.
[break][break]
Even seeing some of the worst things that the world has to offer her on a silver platter covered in gore, she still treats her enforcers like people. Not dogs like her mentor-turned-subordinate advised her. Though she doesn't consider Ginoza anything less than her partner even with his demotion. In fact she disregards her replacement when she can, seeing her as a liability and when she's being honest with herself, an all around bitch.
[break][break]
Even in her most distressed states, she's been able to maintain a healthy psycho-pass. At times wondering if she too was asymptomatic in some way, though all signs point against it. She's unafraid to threaten Sybil, despite it's grasp on their world. She will one day even dismantle it or, if she must, join it to make it better. She's willing to sacrifice herselfor the sake of justice.

Abilities[break]
Akane has come a long way from her rookie days. She's now formidable in self defense, enough to hold her own against those much larger and stronger than her in stature. Her hand to hand combat is formidable. Her aim has gotten to be much better as well, clocking time in shooting ranges and so much practice with the dominator has done that to her. She doesn't have much other strong abilities, other than her very strong mental state. So far nothing has been able to corrupt her, which only seems to make her a bigger target for people trying. Clear blue hues from now into eternity.
