it can't protect, it only destroys
This place was dangerous. The locals, if they could be called that, hadn't been kidding. Stepped into one building and she nearly had the ceiling drop on her already. Though she was trained for this kind of a thing. The Guardian Corps had trained her for this much at least. She needed supplies, that's all there was to it. Her little magic and gunblade alone weren't going to save her from starvation forever. She could hunt the local creatures but she didn't know if those things were even edible. She hadn't seen anyone try to eat one of the beasts from the forest yet, and she didn't fancy herself radiation poisoning or something of the like. She'd wait and see, but for now, salvaging food from apartment buildings seemed like the way to go.
Being alone didn't have many perks, but in this she could be glad for it. She could focus, and not be constantly keeping a wary eye on her makeshift family. Especially Snow with his giant presence and stomping feet. He'd likely charge in head first and fall through the floor and break his leg before she could even get a word in. She snorted at that as she flitted in the building, going for the cupboards first. This particular set of armor didn't have the utility of her Guardian Corps Uniform, but that was long gone. She did, however, manage to find a stray duffel bag that seemed to have survive without any animals chewing through it, or threads wearing down. Lucky, she guessed, but she didn't feel it.
This place was chosen for a reason. A reminder that she couldn't get too comfortable here. She still had people to find, a world to get back to. Though she doesn't understand how she got her in the first place. This world seemed like a godless realm so she could rule out any divine interference. She hoped. She was done being the plaything of the gods, she proved that. First Etro and the Bhunivelze, though one favorable to the other, she didn't owe anyone anything here. This wasn't her world, and it could rot for all she cared. At least that's what she told herself, but she knew deep down it was a lie. She had a hard time keeping her nose out of wars, especially when there were innocents to protect.
