Chat Noir stared down at the street below. He watched the strangely dressed people bustling back and forth, going back and forth. He watched as some disappear off toward the castle, and others going from one shop to the next. The clothes were cool and all, kind of retro and would make for an interesting line that his father would design. This seemed to just be the way things were here. This was so different from Paris. There was nothing familiar here and he didn't even know where here was. His cat ears drooped, pressing closer to his more unruly hair.
Adrien was more afraid now than he had ever been going up against any of Hawkmoth's akumas. He had been willing to sacrifice himself and hadn't hesitated. Now he was entirely alone and knew nothing. He had the basic understanding of what he needed, the things that he required for survival, but he didn't know how to get them. He didn't know what else he would need to make it here. More importantly, he wanted to know how to get home. No matter how distant Gabriel was, the young blond truly missed his father. He would take that disappointed look over this.
He glanced out over the rooftops, needing to see a flash of red flying across them. He wanted his partner. Everything would be okay if he had Ladybug here. His partner could fix nearly anything and he had faith that if she were here, they could figure this out. He curled up a little smaller, bright green eyes shifting to look back down at the street. He couldn't even say that he had someone to blame for this. He had gone to bed and just woken up here the other day. There had been nothing to signal something was so off, or that a major event was coming.
Adrien hugged his knees to his chest. "Plagg, what are we going to do?" He asked out loud, knowing full well that he wasn't going to get an answer. The little cat kwamii was busy keeping him transformed into Chat Noir so there was no answering voice that would give him an irritating answer and a demand for cheese. He would just have to wait until he found somewhere safe so they could take without someone finding them.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Alice"] And if you feel your sinking I will jump right over
Marinette had been here...a while to say the least. It was hard to think about the days, weeks, months she had been here. She had been scared, terrified even, but she was quick to take a deep breath and do what she needed to. She picked a Link easily, the clothes here were so interesting, inspiring even. She could make money here, even if it meant being a little...vague when it came to how old she actually was. Though most people here didn't care to ask, instead they were more interested in her designs, and she couldn't be more happy about that.
But she wasn't happy just being Marinette here. She was worried about the people back home. How would Chat get by without her? Was Paris okay? Were her friends? Family? Any time she had down time that's where her mind went and she worked herself into a panic. So she got rid of the downtime. Spots On with Tikki and she was patrolling the streets as Ladybug.
She didn't sleep a lot, but then, that wasn't anything new. She was patrolling again now. While it didn't turn up anything too often, it wasn't like Paris, being attacked by Akuma's every other day. But today, it seemed it was different. A familiar black cat caught her eye. She nearly lost her grip on her yo-yo when she made the connection.
Immediately she changed her direction to land on the rooftop beside her partner? "Chat? You're here too?" She asked. She didn't know if she was thankful or even more worried to find that out. While she was ecstatic to have her partner here with her now, she was worried about the state of Paris. How would they get by without their heroes? Or was Hawkmoth here too? The possibilities swirled through her mind but she had to focus on this for now. This was good. Chat was here.

Chat Noir took a deep breath, figuring that he might need to move soon. He was going to need to find somewhere to sleep tonight. They had been lucky in finding tucked away places and not being discovered the past couple of nights, so hopefully their luck would continue despite the whole black cat thing. They would need to make their way back to that little cheese shop first. Plagg wasn't any good to him if he didn't eat. His own stomach growled at the thought. Right, he was going to need to find food as well. He couldn't remember having ever been this hungry. Just one more reason to long for home.
The feline hero shifted so he could start getting up, ignoring how stiff he was getting from sitting on one position for so long. He heard the soft landing of someone behind him. The voice that followed just after drew him to his feet faster than anything else could. He turned and started at the young heroine that he had called his partner since becoming Chat Noir. An indecipherable noise got caught in his throat.
Adrien rushed forward to wrap his arms around Ladybug. It wasn't just that he was glad to see her alive and well. It did make him worry about Paris, but the thing that brought him the most relief was that he wasn't alone. Someone he knew was here. He had someone that he could ask advice from if he were willing to show that much weakness. Just this display alone was too much, but he was afraid.
He cleared his throat a little and pulled away a little. "I'm glad you're alright, Ladybug," He said. Realizing that he was still a little too close for her usual comfort, he took a half step back and his hands dropped to his sides. "Have you seen anything weird here? Other than being here, wherever here is." His gaze drifted back off to their surroundings. His partner was here now, everything would be fine, and they would figure this out. Outwardly, his posture was better with her next to him, though there was still flinching around his eyes. Still, he could be as brave as he needed to be as long as he knew he wasn't entirely alone. Soon enough, he would even think of a good pun or two to make himself feel a little more normal.

[googlefont="Playfair Display"][googlefont="Alice"] And if you feel your sinking I will jump right over
It took her by surprise, at first, that he hugged her before anything else. The overwhelming sense she got from Chat was so far removed from the usual cocky, playfulness she was so used to from him. He was practically shaking like an alley cat in the rain. Though she couldn't help feel relieved that he was here, and real, and she was not alone. So it couldn't be helped that she returned the hug in kind, rubbing his shoulder in a way she hoped would be comforting.
"Nothing unusual. Just your average petty criminals every now and again but nothing too serious." She responded to his question gently. He was on edge, and she can't recall a time she had ever seen his cool demeanor break down this far and they had faced some pretty nasty villains. It had her worried for her partner and friend. "No Akumas." She responded in seriously. She'd been here for three months and she was sure if Hawkmoth was here, then well, she would have known by now. Alone without Chat would be a perfect time for him to strike her. But nothing.
Chat was still agitated when he was pulling away from her, she could tell that more than easily. She didn't like it. Didn't like how scared he seemed and it made her wonder how long he'd been here alone. Whether he was new here and scared or had been here far too long for his own good she couldn't tell. She knew she had starting to spiral into nothing but fear over never getting home again.
She didn't know what she was going to do about this all. She couldn't just take him to her, Marinette's, house like she would if they were back home. That would be too suspicious if he happened to see her civilian self just wandering the streets. It would be incriminating enough if he even found her as Marinette. That she was even here on this world when none of the other Parisians they knew had come over. At least not to her knowledge. Chat knew her civilian form. It was all so complicated. Maybe it didn't even matter. They weren't back home. They weren't under the threat of someone who didn't care what harm they did so long as they obtained their miraculous'. They had no one else. She'd need to think it over some more but for now she was going to have to mull it over, and see what kind of sorry state her kitten had gotten himself into.
"How long have you been here?" She asked curiously. His agitated state didn't seem to be dissolving nearly enough. These things were important to know anyways. She knew for her it had been quite frankly too damn long. She was tired of being alone. It was good to have Chat back. She hated to admit to herself how much she had grown to depend on his presence, in more ways than just their super hero duties.

Chat Noir gave a small nod as Ladybug described the minor things that were going on in this place. It wasn't exactly to their caliber of villain from what it sounded like. He doubted if there was much need for Ladybug to use her Lucky Charm if they were just going to be your run of the mill troubles. At least Hawkmoth wasn't here as well and going after his partner without him. That was a small blessing though that also meant the Paris was in very big trouble if they were both here. The book he had stolen from his father showed that there should be more miraculous holders, so hopefully there would be good people that would claim the others out there and stop Hawkmoth, but he didn't want to depend on that.
Then again, if he couldn't find them easily as usual, then he might take a step back in send out his Akumas to actually look for them. Well, they would just have to worry about that when they got the chance. He took a deep breath and sighed. "That means we can focus on other things than fighting Akumas," He mused quietly. They could look into getting home. He wasn't very good at this kind of thing since he never really had to problem solve that much in his life. It was either the adults around him taking care of everything, or Ladybug usually coming up with a good plan to stop the Akuma they were fighting at the time.
He would just have to support her, as usual, and he was more than happy to do that. In fact, he finally grinned at the heroine beside him. "Not long, but I couldn't leave My Lady alone. I knew how much you would miss me if I didn't come find your sooner or later," He answered, leaning over as his attitude finally seemed to brighten up. A chance to reclaim his usual goofy demeanor to hopefully ease the worry he saw in Ladybug's eyes. Adrien actually being serious as Chat Noir was not something she was accustomed to, so of course she would be concerned.
He stood up straight and casually brushed a clawed hand through his hair. "Plus, who wouldn't want to be saved by a pair of such purrr-fect heroes?" There, that was much better. He was going to have to come up with some more puns fitting to their surroundings. With his partner near and him not being quite as alone, it would be a little easier for him to relax and do so. Now, if only he felt like he could actually ask Ladybug for help in surviving here since she had been here for months, a thought he couldn't even fathom. He didn't want to think about what she had been through on her own in a strange place for so long. Obviously she was doing well enough from this brief reunion since the biggest news was a few petty criminals.

Ladybug nodded, looking over at her partner. He seemed to have bounced back, but that didn't really ease her worries. It would take some time for him to convince her that he was actually alright. "That's for sure. I don't even know what to do with myself half the time. I'm so much less busy here. But then, I've managed.." She explained with a small nod.
He was right, in that the people here didn't seem to be opposed to vigilantism. They seemed to be rather thankful anytime she'd stepped in, but the most her patrols really came up with were petty theft. Maybe she could get higher profile crimes if she had more help, or if she could even get more information from the locals, but it seemed more or less peaceful here so far. She knew there had to be more going on but honestly there were things she didn't really want to delve into. At least not alone, but now she had Chat so maybe they could take it on together.
"You took your time getting here though, kitty." She mused, tipping her head towards him. "I've been here for nearly four months." Ladybug said, her voice falling a little toward melancholy. It had been a lonely few months. The loneliest of her life if she were being quite honest. She was so much more used to being around the people she cared about, who cared for her. Here she was on her own.
She snorted and rolled her eyes at the stupid pun. It was silly, and she was glad he was feeling well enough to still make his stupid puns. "I'm glad you're feeling better there, Chat." She teased with a smile. She'd been worried, but no matter what he'd be okay now. She'd make sure of that one way or another.

Chat gave a small nod and sighed a little. He was so used to having nearly his entire day planned out for him. If Ladybug couldn't find things to do, which he was sure such a confident girl could do, then he was in big trouble. A small flicker of unease flashed through his eyes again. He pushed it away and glanced out at the rooftops as he rubbed the back of his head. "I'm sorry you've been here alone so long. I guess you tried to look into ways of getting home with all that time on your hands then," He replied, the smile dimming. He was still going to try to do just that anyway, but maybe she would tell him what she already did so he could attempt to give himself some direction.
he really hoped that he would be able to accomplish something. The fear of being alone, of never getting home, and not being able to take care of himself could be crippling if he let it. He would just have to tough it out for a few more days until he thought of something that would allow him to get by. The blond hoped he would be able to do just that without breaking down. Chat Noir did not break for anything. He had faced death while fighting Akumas and not gotten as worried as he was now. It was a good thing that Ladybug had happened upon him to give him the much needed hope and distraction he needed.
He gave a broad grin and a very formal bow to prove just how much better he was feeling. "The sight of you will always make me feel better, My Lady," He purred, rolling his eyes up to look at her. His offbeat humor and shameless flirting with the polka dotted heroine always made him feel better. Even her rebuttals would take some of the edge off. He would probably feel that much better knowing who from Paris was here with him, since he had yet to find out who his partner really was. Knowing that this girl was about his age and doing okay on her own made him feel a little better, but to know who it was, and how she was getting on might give him ideas on how he can make himself useful when he wasn't being Chat Noir.
Stealing scraps as Adrien wasn't exactly something he was proud of and never something he had thought himself capable of. However, this new situation he had found himself in shed a lot of light on what bad shape he was in. But, asking to know who he was here with wasn't something he was willing to do. She had already expressed that she wasn't interested in doing that, so he had to think of some other way to get her help without looking too desperate. The only thing Chat Noir was allowed to be desperate for was her affections.
The black clad teen straightened up, twisting on his heel as he chose a random direction to look off at. "So, care to show a cat around, LB? Wouldn't want me to get lost on you again, right?" He peeked back at her, smirking at the thought of her having to find him as he got into a little trouble, possibly on purpose just to get her attention. At least if she showed him around, she would have a better idea on where to find him without going too far out of her way.

Ladybug responded with a disheartened hum, nodding as well. "So far I haven't heard anything concrete about anyone being able to make it out of here, thought I'm not sure if we'd hear about it if anyone did you know?" She offered with a shrug. It was hard to accept at first. She had been pretty aimless when she first arrived, she didn't want to settle because there hadn't been a point. She was going home as soon as possible. Only for her hopes to quickly be dashed by being unable to get home. That probably tore into her the worst. "After all they'd just be missing persons and well...if they had no one who cared about them here then..." She trailed off with a shrug. "
"I'm not giving up hope though! We'll make it back to Paris, I'm just not sure when is all." She said, firmly and with more of her trademark Ladybug confidence. After all she was sure they'd make it home somehow. With so many people trying to find their own ways home someone would have to have some sort of breakthrough right?
She snorted at his next response, rolling her eyes once again. A common move when it came to dealing with her partner. Still it brought a smile to her lips. She really had missed him quite a bit. "Of course it does. Have you found someplace to live?" Ladybug asked. She didn't know quite how long he had been here, but she worried. She couldn't have him becoming a literal alley-cat on her watch.
Though his request for her to show him around was pretty telling. If he'd been here long enough to find housing then he'd know the area at least a little. Or at least that's how it went for her. Still she had her sewing which was doing quite well, she didn't know much about Chat outside his costume, but she knew she was lucky as far as it came to useful skills she could offer. Even if she was a little young to be on her own. That was easily talked around and avoided when it came up. She'd outright lie about it if it came down to it at this point. It was good practice, for when she got back home. "Sure, what do you all still need to see?" She asked, trying to get a better idea of where he's been so far.
